In an effort to maintain the health & safety of our clients, team & community, things will look and feel a bit different going forward… We will still have fun picking your fantastic glasses, fitting you with the best digital lens technology available and doing most in-house repairs on the spot–but now we will be scheduling appointments to insure our new limit of 2 clients in the shop at a time (1 at a time in Berkeley).

We are asking you to: 1. Be symptom-free for 20 days prior to your appointment (headache, fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath); 2. Wear your mask for the duration of your appointment.

All surfaces - frames, tables, door handles - will be disinfected with the EPA recommended disinfectant for COVID-19 after each visit.

I've been in the optical industry for 25 years, all of which I have spent here, at Rims & Goggles. I love helping people look and feel their best.  I draw from a deep well of knowledge & past experience to help people see their best as well.

Outside of work I am a dedicated wife and mother. I enjoy spending time with my family playing and making a lot of memories.

GUIDO J.

As an Optician for over thirty years, I wear two hats at Rims & Goggles - one hat to style customers and another in the lab. I especially enjoy designing and making custom shapes to fit my clients' rimless frames.

Outside of work I'm an avid cyclist.

I'm a liscenced Optician with 8 years of experience and I love the process of getting to know you so that I can find just the right fit for your personal style. Whether it's modern and funky or sharp and classic, I'll find the perfect frame to bring out your best features and best vision. 

I want to spend time learning about your eyes and your hobbies so I can choose the best lens for you and your lifestyle. 

My greatest joys outside of work are calligraphy, comedy, plants and sunshine.

My passion shines through with over three decades of in-depth knowledge and experience in exclusive eyewear. I specialize in complex prescriptions and beautifully chosen frames. Your lenses are personally edged on site with precision, care and dispensed with love ❤️ 

I really enjoy living in San Francisco with my very talented Executive Chef husband, and walking on the beach with our furry four legged child🐾🐾

I’m one of the newest opticians coming from NYC. With over 8 years of experience I take pride in finding you the perfect frame. Face shapes, colors, your personal style and prescription are taken into consideration.

MARAT G.

As a licensed optician with over 20 years in the optical industry, I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of my customer’s eyeglass shopping experience. With extensive knowledge in frame styling and a vast array of skills of eyeglass lens materials and designs, I’m able to share my experience by helping others. I enjoy cutting and installing lenses and personally delivering them to all my clients making them look good and see even better. As a former athlete I can also provide a proper and detailed recommendation based on specific sport and use requirement. 

In my spare time I enjoy taking hikes with my wife, two daughters and my dog Sammy. We also enjoy traveling and exploring the world.
