INDEPENDENT EYEWEAR
/ˌINDƏˈPENDƏNT/
1. EYEWEAR DESIGNERS THAT DON'T MAKE JEANS, BAGS OR PERFUME--ONLY LUXURY EYEWEAR
2. NOT COMPROMISING ON DESIGN OR QUALITY IN AN EFFORT TO APPEAL TO A MASS MARKET
What's "Independent Eyewear" exactly?
Our eyewear designers don't make jeans, bags and perfume: Those are licensing deals where brands have their logos stamped onto frames that are then mass produced, manufactured in China and sold in big box chains. That's not our idea of quality or luxury.
To be independent is not having to compromise on design or quality in an effort to appeal to a mass market. It means honoring the craft of handmade eyewear and the people who wear them. The lines we carry are crafted by exclusive eyewear designers and handmade by artisans who have been making eyewear for generations.
“If we cannot speak with the designer ourselves, we don’t buy the line," says Penna OMEGA, RIMS & GOGGLES OWNER. "Our customers know when they walk into our store, they will find things they never thought existed and leave knowing they aren’t going to find it again ANYWHERE else.”
Nothing mass-produced, no licensed brands, no logos. Rims & Goggles of Marin & BERKELEY… TRULY INDEPENDENT.
