Say, “Bonjour,” Bay Area style mavens: Rims & Goggles is hosting a trunk show to celebrate Lafont’s 30th North American anniversary on Saturday, May 13th, from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
To commemorate the occasion, Lafont, purveyor of luxury eyewear made in France, created a limited edition sunglass. THIRTY, an oversized frame in stainless and carved acetate, is embellished with a cut out of the Statue of Liberty on one temple and the Eiffel Tower on the other. With only 400 pairs available for purchase in select boutiques for spring/summer– THIRTY, retailing for $769, is a true collector’s item.
In addition to THIRTY, guests attending the special trunk show will be able to try the latest Lafont sunglasses and optical frames, which cover a range of styles, shapes, patterns and colors.
Founded in 1923 in France, la famille Lafont has created exceptional eyewear for nearly a century. Inspired by Paris—its architecture, culture and denizens—the company continues to use the finest materials to craft sophisticated eyewear for discerning men and women. From one boutique on rue Vignon, Lafont has become a premier eyewear manufacturer available in the finest retailers the world over.
Since Lafont made its North American debut in 1987, men and women have been drawn to its whimsical shapes in a broad range of vibrant colors, details and patterns. Lafont offers more than 200 color combinations, some accented with unusual details such as fabrics—tulle, Liberty of London prints and tartan—pressed between layers of acetate. Signature patterns include animal prints and polka dots while ultra-luxurious materials include horn and tortoise shell.
